This is Skip. In the last week of April Skip was riding his bike on a wooded trail. He spotted a group of Camp Fire Girls off to his right. They didn't see the Black Bear approaching from Skip's left. Skip aimed his bike at the bear (about 120 pounds) road his bike as fast as he could and rammed the bear. Effectively shocking the bear and made it run off. Skip broke his leg and pelvis with his heroic effort. He's up and about. If you see Skip, buy him a beer this is what a hero looks like.
